At Little Minds 1st Academy, your Children’s safety is our number one priority. Below is a sample of some of the key safety measures that we have incorporated into our program to assist us with ensuring your child’s safety while they are in our center.
Whole Facility Water System
Clean, healthy drinking water is essential to a child’s proper mental and physical development. Therefore, we ensure pure, contaminant-free drinking water for our children through the use of a point-of-entry Whole Facility filtration system.
Safe Sleep Policy
The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning has established standards and procedures for ensuring that infants remain safe while sleeping. Little Minds 1st Academy adheres to these standards. The detailed procedure can be located in the Parent Handbook.
Online Monitoring of All Classrooms by Director
Our Director’s office is equipped with a monitor, which enables viewing of each classroom throughout the day.
Close Proximity to Fire/Emergency Services
The nearest fire/emergency response station is only 1.8 miles from our center, which will enable a response in approximately 4 minutes.
Close Proximity to Hospital
Wellstar-Kennestone Hospital is approximately 5 miles from our center enabling quick access in the event of a medical emergency.
Entrance Doors Locked
Entrance doors and all doors leading to the outside remain locked at all times. A code is required to enter.
Playground Safety
Our playground is safe with anchored climbing and swinging equipment and our fence is 5 ft high to protect our children from traffic and/ or other hazards. Additionally, there is no access to the playground from outside of the center. One must go through the center building in order to enter the playground.
